About the role

In this role, you will work closely with maintenance and operations organizations to improve operability and ensure availability of the plants. Working closely together with the whole project team makes the project a success. You will also cooperate with vendors and subcontractors verifying compliance of product requirements.

Work tasks

Participating in several phases of a project, such as study, basic engineering and execution, your tasks include:

  • Technical requirements and specifications for piping and equipment in different materials
  • Identifying possible corrosion phenomena and selection of correct type of materials in specific process conditions
  • Supporting engineering disciplines in various design tasks e.g. Welding guidelines, corrosion study, coating of materials and NDE requirements
  • Acting as a technical expert in purchase negotiations and factory auditioning
  • Providing support to inspection and expediting during manufacturing of equipment

We are looking for

The best combination to success in this role:

  • M.Sc in Metallurgy, Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience of material selection and fabrication
  • Fluent Finnish and English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in material life cycle management
  • Experience in refinery environment

We also value:

  • Knowledge of NDE techniques
  • Fabrication and welding knowledge
  • Corrosion phenomena knowledge Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
