Technical Writer Trainee, Huld (Tampere or Jyväskylä)

Are you for example a technical communication student in the final stages of your studies and looking for a trainee position for summer 2025? We offer an excellent opportunity at Huld to gain industry experience as a Technical Writer, working on exciting client projects.

You can start in this role for example at the beginning of May and work until the end of August. You have the option to work from Tampere or Jyväskylä office. At the beginning, we expect you to work more closely on-site at the office, but later, you’ll have the flexibility to work also remotely. We offer one week break in July.

In this role, you will write different types of manuals for Huld’s clients. You’ll gain valuable experience and insight into technical writing and what materials are essential for producing clear, high-quality documentation.

• Fluent English language skills (both written and spoken), Finnish is seen as a merit
• Background e.g. in technical communication, writing, or related studies
• You are familiar with the principles of structured and modular documentation
• Basic understanding of or willingness to learn XML editors and CCMS systems (experience is a plus but not mandatory)

To succeed in the role, your personal skills are:

• You are independent, a self-starter, and will not hesitate to ask for help when needed.

The recruitment process will include an assignment for those selected for an interview. The assignment will be conducted between January 17th and 20th, so please reserve some time during that weekend to complete it.
