About the role

As a Project Engineer, your primary responsibility is to support the Project Managers in their projects. Your role includes developing system layout drawings based on contract and technical specifications. You will update layout drawings post-commissioning to reflect the final system configurations accurately. In this role, you will also prepare Bills of Material (BOM) for each project and manage project-specific documentation. In addition, as a Project Engineer, you will be actively involved in procurement processes, initiating purchase requisitions, maintaining stock items, and collaborating with the Sales team. ABB has a 50% hybrid working model so you can work remotely and at the office in Vuosaari.

Work tasks

  • Developing preliminary system layout drawings based on contract and technical descriptions
  • Updating layout drawings (as-built) post-commissioning to reflect final system configurations
  • Modifying electrical drawings in response to changes made for upgrade projects
  • Preparing Bills of Material (BOM) for each project order in accordance with contract and technical requirements
  • Managing signal lists, coordinating datalinks, selecting devices, finding suitable technical solutions for new link types, and preparing project-specific documentation for commissioning
  • Initiating purchase requisitions, maintaining stock items and collaborating with the Sales team

We are looking for

  • Suitable educational background (e.g. Electrical Engineering or similar)
  • Experience in AutoCad, ePlan, MS Office and Teamcenter
  • Fluent written and spoken skills in English Previous knowledge of SAP and work experience in manufacturing or procurement is seen as an advantage.
