About the role

ACTRIS is the pan-European research infrastructure producing high-quality data and information on short-lived atmospheric constituents and on the processes leading to the variability of these constituents in natural and controlled atmospheres.

We are looking for organized and proactive officer to join the team for ACTRIS operations. The work will consist primarily of tasks related to the implementation of ACTRIS and European projects, in which ACTRIS ERIC participates. It also includes various tasks in enhancing internal communication and operations of the ACTRIS research infrastructure.

Work tasks

  • Participate in planning and execution of externally funded projects, mainly by European Commission.
  • Facilitate the ACTRIS National Facility coordination and operate the related database and web interface.
  • Participate in (mostly online) meetings of operational ACTRIS bodies as representative of the ACTRIS Head Office to enhance internal communication within ACTRIS.
  • Support the integration of new tools and technologies into operations.
  • Various other tasks related to operation of ACTRIS.

We are looking for

  • Master of Science or equivalent degree.
  • Good organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficient in written and verbal communication in English.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Independent use of Microsoft Office suite.
  • Readiness to travel.

Considered as an advantage:

  • Background in atmospheric sciences or another ACTRIS-related field.
  • Experience or interest in ICT management or programming.
  • The language consideration has been changed. Finnish language is no longer considered as advantage.

Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
