About the role

We are seeking proactive Automation Engineers to manage the detailed design phase and commissioning of 1–4 projects related to industrial automation systems. This role is critical in ensuring the successful implementation of new heating solutions within the industry.

Remote work is allowed but you need to visit the Espoo office once a month. The work also includes traveling to project sites in other Nordic countries.

Work tasks

  • Design and implement industrial automation systems for energy plants.
  • Manage instrumentation, frequency converters, and valve actuators.
  • Utilize bus technologies like Profinet, Profibus, and IEC61850.
  • Develop operation descriptions, control diagrams, and logic sequences.
  • Conduct Hazop studies, SIL calculations, and validate safety automation systems.
  • Integrate cybersecurity protocols into automation systems.
  • Lead facility commissioning to ensure systems meet specifications.

We are looking for

  • Previous of experience in designing automation systems for energy plants or the pulp industry.
  • Proficiency with software tools like Autodesk Electrical, Valmet DNA, Siemens TIA-Portal, and PCS7 automation systems.
  • Experience in automation design for electrode boilers and heat pumps is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of PSK standards for instrument installations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to produce high-quality documentation.
  • Familiarity with industrial process planning and the implementation of innovative heating solutions.
  • Ability to work and document processes in English; knowledge of Finnish and Swedish is a plus.
