About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled API Operations Specialist (APIOps) to join the team. This role is crucial in maintaining APIs, supporting API users, and developing API ecosystem. You will be working for a client in the banking industry on a long-term project, in a hybrid model with an international team.

Work tasks

• Maintain and support APIs on the Apigee platform
• Provide technical assistance to API users (e.g., developers)
• Develop and enhance the API ecosystem
• Work with Confluent Kafka to ensure seamless integration and message streaming
• Collaborate with teams to design, deploy, and manage APIs

70% of your work is consisting of supportive configuration and maintenance tasks, and 30% is development responsibilities.

We are looking for

• Proven experience with the Apigee platform
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka and/or Confluent Kafka
• Familiarity with REST and Async API usage and best practices
• Proficiency in Python scripting
• Hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms
• Fluent English skills

It is meritorious if you have

• Familiarity with central logging tools like SPLUNK
• Experience with API deployment tools such as RA and GitHub
• Knowledge of Linux OS systems
• Experience with Linux OS shell scripting
• Basic skills in Dynatrace monitoring tools
• Strong teamwork abilities
• Excellent skills in customer-facing interaction
• Finnish skills

Knowledge can be gained through education, experience or self-taught.
