About the role

As a Process & Project Engineer you will be responsible for planning, executing, supervising, and analysing results while ensuring a seamless transition from laboratory & pilot phases to full-scale industrial production. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing customer relationships and expectations. You will be working at the office in Espoo and the job also requires some travel for clients.

Work tasks

  • Plan, conduct, supervise, and analyse laboratory and pilot tests to validate Elmery’s technology for different customer solutions.
  • Ensure laboratory and pilot test runs and results within the given time frame.
  • Ensure the smooth transfer of pilot results to industrial-scale implementation.
  • Manage customer interactions, ensuring clear communication and expectation management.
  • Document test results, prepare reports, and present findings to key stakeholders.
  • Availability to travel to customer(s) premises to perform laboratory and/or pilot scale test. Customer service visit and work might also be required.
  • Some repetitive tasks on daily work might be required, on need basis, as well as laboratory tasks.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing efficiency and technology implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards throughout the testing and implementation phases.
  • Support in other areas of the value creation chain inside Elmery as per internal requirements.

We are looking for

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Process Technology, or a related field.
  • Understanding and/or experience in hydrometallurgy, electrochemistry and electrolysis.
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory and pilot.
  • Project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and define priorities.
  • On time delivery management.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance practices.
  • Fluent English spoken and written skills
  • Driving licence

Proven experience in process testing and pilot operations, hands-on experience in industrial implementation, and a sales & customer-oriented mindset are seen as advantages.
