About the role
As an mechanical design engineer, you have an excellent opportunity to join an exciting team developing and maintaining Vaisala’s automated weather stations. Your work will involve prototyping new product concepts, as well as maintaining existing products. You will work in the experienced team but also collaborate closely with other stakeholders such as production team. We hope you have good skills in technical problem solving, as well as a bold and growth-oriented attitude towards the work. Your workplace is mainly located at Vaisala’s office in Vantaanlaakso while occasional remote work is possible.

Work tasks
- Maintenance and development of Vaisala products
- Problem-solving, design, concept development, prototyping, and testing
- Technical documentation and collaboration with stakeholders
We are looking for
- Suitable technical background e.g. mechanical engineering
- Prior mechanical design experience
- Experience in using some CAD and PDM, preferably Solidworks and Aton
- Fluent written and spoken skills in English
The following are seen as an advantage
- Experience with electronic components
- Experience with outdoor products
