About the role

As an Asset Accounting Specialist, you operate as Neste's fixed assets and lease asset expert. Your area of responsibility is built around fixed and lease asset accounting, including accounting related to lease agreements (IFRS16). In this role you get to participate in system development projects related to fixed asset accounting. You are part of Neste's Asset Accounting team and you take care of the fixed asset accounting of your responsibility companies together with your team members.

Work tasks

• Fixed and lease assets accounting and reporting in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP standards and tax regulations
• Controlling of asset master data in applicable systems and management of asset assignments such as scrapping, sales, additions and transfers
• Active cooperation with project management and other internal stakeholders to ensure correct and timely fixed asset activations
• Interpretation and maintenance of IFRS 16 lease agreements in applicable systems
• Performing and documenting internal controls 
• Monthly and annual reporting in accordance with global reporting schedules 
• Delivery of audit materials to auditors and communication with them 

We are looking for

• Relevant educational background (e.g. business, financial accounting)
• Previous experience in external accounting and bookkeeping
• Understanding of IFRS and GAAP
• Experience using SAP or other ERP system
• Fluency in Finnish and English, both spoken and written

Previous experience in fixed asset accounting and understanding of the IFRS16 standards are considered as an advantage.
