About the role

As a Treasury & Cash Management Specialis you will be part of the Back Office function, playing a crucial role in ensuring smooth cash management operations within the Group. You will manage daily in-house cash operations, including currency trading, settlement, and financial payment traffic, using the SAP IHC Payment Center system. Your key responsibilities will include processing internal payments and transfers in a multicurrency environment, administering cash pools, and supporting Wärtsilä companies globally with cash management matters. You will also contribute to the continuous development of Treasury processes and collaborate closely with internal teams and external financial institutions to ensure efficient and compliant payment operations. This is a full-time position until the end of September 2025.

Work tasks

• Manage daily in-house cash operations, including currency trading and settlement
• Handle internal banking transactions, including transfers to and from local accounts
• Communicate with global stakeholders regarding payment traffic and currency exchanges
• Ensure timely processing of payments, meeting specific cutoff times for currency transactions

We are looking for

• A relevant educational background / soon-to-be graduate, preferably in finance, treasury, banking, or a related field
• Some experience in treasury, banking, or financial payment traffic
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluency in English

Experience with SAP or similar financial systems, currency transactions, or settlement processes is a plus. Familiarity with global payment operations and cash management practices would also be beneficial.
